My name is Ellen Jena, and hair has been my passion for as long as I can remember. Growing up with five elder sisters who had a talent for making hair, I naturally followed their footsteps and fell in love with braiding at a tender age. I used to plait family and close friends whenever I could, and during the school holidays, I assisted an aunt of mine who owned a saloon.

Fast forward to 2019 when I relocated to Doha and started to make wigs for myself. A friend fell in love with my work of art and asked me to make her one. She loved it and pushed me to advertise the wig on social media.

I was nervous and unsure of the response I would get, none the less I proceeded to post on various Facebook and ladies Whatsapp groups. The feedback was positive, and it helped me to create pages for Wig-studio by Ellen on Facebook and Instagram. To date, I have supplied wigs to clients in Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Zimbabwe, and Australia.

Wigs have become popular across all ethnic groups in the past several years, and the market continues to grow. They offer flexibility, and in this era of ever-changing fashion trends, I believe every woman needs one. 

I make all types of wigs, from braids, human hair to cornrows. Each piece is custom made to meet the unique needs of every client. Be it wigs for work, interviews, parties, or date out with the girls I have you covered.

The journey has not been easy, several times I thought of giving up but my husband Keegan and my friend Teu, always encouraged me to continue pursuing my dream. The future is bright, and I am excited about what lies ahead. My dream is to grow Wig Studio by Ellen into an international brand. I also plan to study Beauty Therapy and eventually open my own Beauty and Hair Salon.
